The founder who writes the analysis

I am an Emirati founder and analyst based in Abu Dhabi. I built Spare, a UAE marketplace for new and used car parts, and I write on Gulf geopolitics, energy and the economics that sit underneath both.

Most founders do not publish serious analysis, and most analysts have never shipped a product. I try to do both. Building a company means hiring, pricing and launching, and that experience keeps my writing on OPEC, Iran or AI policy grounded in how decisions actually get made. The writing, in turn, keeps the ventures pointed at problems that matter.

I studied International Relations at Zayed University and have spent several years in security and risk management, work that trains you to look for the point where a system fails.
